Goooooogle.

I’ve recently become intrigued with the WordPress blog stats feature, particularly the search engine terms.  I’ve had some interesting hits.

Previously, the only terms I got were related to Where the Wild things Are. Things like “Wild Rumpus” and such.

Ever since I posted how I would go gay for Katee Sackhoff, that has all changed. Now the most popular thing by far that leads people to this blog is “Katee Sackhoff” or some variation thereof. Capitalized, uncapitalized, misspelled “Katie”, Katee Sackhoff pictures, and even a couple “Katee Sackhoff lesbian” and “Kara Thrace lesbian.” I can’t help but wonder if the people who found thier way here by searching for that phrase were a little disappointed when they arrived.

I’ve also gotten…

“Gigi Edgley”, “Alison McGhee”, “lesbian love”, “gay women be careful assume” (I’m really intrigued by that one), and ”Galactica”.

There are three more that are my favorite, so I’m going to list those separately.

“Every delicious sip drink away the night” -This one made me so happy! I’m so glad I’m not the only nerd obsessed with findout out what that poem was. I wish this person would have left a comment. Along those lines, I read somewhere that she confirmed she did write that, and that she actually wrote three in total for the wall. I wish I could find out the other two.

“Sara Gilbert sexual preference”- I feel kind of sad this person wasn’t able to find the answer to this question here, so I’ll say it now. She’s gay. She has one child, carried by her partner, Alison. Sara herself is currently pregnant with the couple’s second child. Don’t ask me how I know this. I guess I googled it at one point too.

And my favorite: “Let the wild rumpus start book summary”- I think this person is confused. Where the Wild Things are is a picture book. It’s 32 pages long, with a word count of…well, I odn’t know what it is, but picture books are typically under 500, and I doubt it has nearly that many. The point is, this is not a book one really needs a summary for.  Just read it, yeah?

So if you’re a random person and you’ve found your way here through a random internet search, well. Say hello! I’m intrigued by you.

  1. come visit my bloooog. also I miss you and think you should move back to columbus.

  2. Wait? Sarah Gilbery is a lesbian? And wasn’t she Becky on Roseanne?

  3. What? No no no. Sara Gilbert was Darlene on Roseanne. But yeah, she is a lesbian. I think the first real knowledge the public had of it was back in 2004 when her partner became pregnant with their first child.
Becky..well, the first becky, the GOOD Becky, was Lecy Goranson. The second/sucky/annoying/ugly Becky was Sarah Chalke.

  4. Hello

Great book. I just want to say what a fantastic thing you are doing! Good luck!

    G’night

  5. i must admit, i googled katee sackhoff and was intrigued by the promise of “katee sackhoff lesbian” from your site. upon finding where that quote was located, i then had to read the whole post – and nearly came on myself in the process. you are so awesome. it IS funny how google leads us to the most bizarre places with the wrong ideas firmly planted in our heads.although i’m disappointed at not finding what i wanted – i think what i found is better.

  6. haha yay! Someone commented on their random searching. Thank you, stranger called Missy. You’ve just made my day.
